Healthy Connections welcomes chiropractor Dr. Lance Richardson, to our Mena Street location in Mena.

Richardson is a Doctor of Chiropractic, Healthy Connections’ newest specialty. It is a health-care profession that focuses on the spine and other joints of the body, and their connection to the nervous system. Meaning “to be done by hand,” chiropractors use adjustments to restore joint function and support the nervous system. They help patients maintain optimal health while avoiding unnecessary drugs or surgery.

Dr. Richardson is seeing patients Monday through Thursday at 1201 Mena St., in Mena. Call 479-437-3300 or visit www.healthy-connections.org/chiropractic to make an appointment or get more information. Chiropractic is covered by most insurances, though coverage varies depending on the carrier.

Dr. Richardson is a graduate of Texas Chiropractic College and has practiced in both Texas and Arkansas. While working on his degree, he participated in multiple internships, including Neurosurgery. His experience allows him to evaluate and manage many complex spinal conditions with conservative methods.  He also holds certifications in multiple other therapies and techniques, including acupuncture and dry needling.

A chiropractic adjustment is a very safe, specific, controlled force applied to a joint to restore proper function and mobility. Accidents, falls, stress, or overexertion can negatively impact your spine or other joints. These changes impact tissues, the nervous system and other areas of the body. Left unresolved, this can make you more susceptible to chronic problems. Chiropractic adjustments reduce pain, increase movement, and improve performance.

Healthy Connections, Inc., was founded in 1998 as a home visiting program and now operates nine clinics throughout West and Central Arkansas. Depending on location, services include primary and preventative medical care, general dentistry, pediatrics, behavioral health, physical therapy, podiatry, chiropractic, and cardiology.
