Healthy Connections is excited to announce that longtime De Queen APRN Angie Martin will now see her patients full-time at Healthy Connections.
Beginning on July 21, 2020, Martin will see patients at a new temporary location at 1306 W. Collin Raye Drive in De Queen. This location will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday.
Martin is one of De Queen’s most experienced providers. She owned the Martin Family Medical Clinic for several years before working at De Queen Medical Center before it closed. She has been a nurse for 28 years and a nurse practitioner for the past eight years. She’s lived in De Queen for more than 20 years.
Martin had been seeing patients part-time at the Healthy Connections clinic at 1206 W. Collin Raye Dr. This clinic will remain open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday during the transition period. After about three months, Martin will move into a newly-renovated space in this clinic. Additional space is also being created for in-house x-ray and the mental health services of Evolve Behavioral Health and Medication Management. Providers in De Queen will continue to include Terri Devlin, MD; Carolin Hockersmith, APRN; and Inja Brown, APRN.
As a family nurse practitioner, Martin is a registered nurse with specialized educational and clinical training in family practice. Family Nurse Practitioners are trained to work with both children and adults. They work with patients on maintaining health and wellness over the long term with a particular focus on preventative care.
Please note that Healthy Connections is taking precautions to ensure both staff and patient safety in our clinics during the pandemic. Temperature checks are being done at the front door and surfaces are being frequently cleaned. Our staff is also wearing masks during patient interactions.
