Healthy Connections Community Health Network seeks a Director of Ancillary Services to work with our clinic locations across Arkansas.

The Director of Ancillary Services is responsible for providing leadership and oversight in laboratory, radiology and home visiting related activities consistent with Healthy Connections, Inc. (HCI) policies and procedures. The employee in this position plays an active role in ensuring patients have their needs meet with Laboratory and Radiology. This position requires significant interpersonal staff and public contact, appropriate and professional conduct, professional attire, independent judgment, personal initiative and successful resolution of problems.

How You Will Contribute

Laboratory and Radiology Services Management

  • Manage the operations of HCI laboratories and radiology services efficiently, according to HCI policy and in compliance with appropriate regulations
  • Work with Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer to establish annual key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress in meeting and/or exceeding goals.
  • Provide direction to any outside consultants
  • Coordinate and manage equipment maintenance schedules
  • Ensure appropriate inventory of materials and supplies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Home Visiting Services

  • Manage the operations of HCI home visiting services efficiently, according to HCI policy and in compliance with appropriate regulations
  • Improve the quality of patient care, medication compliance and outcomes by actively educating employees and patients about services provided and referring to HC specialists and other internal services as appropriate
  • Work with Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer to establish annual key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress in meeting and/or exceeding goals.
  • Work with the Director of Nursing to coordinate and manage employee’s schedules
  • Ensure appropriate inventory of materials and supplies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Exercise good judgment and decision-making in prioritizing assignments and consulting with supervisor as soon as possible when a major change in priorities seems appropriate.

Supervise all laboratory, and radiology staff and external contractors.

Observe patient confidentiality at all times

Take necessary actions to forestall or avert any actual injury, death, or property damage when conditions exist that pose an immediate threat to life or health or present a threat of damage to property

Here is what we are seeking for this position
  • Certification of practice as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse or four years supervised laboratory services experience.
  • Supervisory/managerial experience, preferably including laboratory management experience
  • Driver's License
  • Successful project management experience
  • Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Management skills to perform planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities
  • Business acumen and common sense
  • Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and problem-solve independently
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) skills are preferred but not required
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft office products, and familiarity with network systems
  • Organizational, written and customer service skills necessary
  • Ability to travel to other locations and to meetings outside of the service area
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
  • Ability to understand verbal communication and instruction, exchange verbal information and to present information verbally
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, courteous working relationships with patients, staff team members, business entities and others
