Arthritis and Joint Pain Relief: Dr. Murphy has received training in performing a new minimally invasive joint injection procedure designed to reduce the knee pain associated with arthritis. This procedure involves giving a soothing lubricant injection into the knee using a fluoroscope for safety and accuracy. When the lubricant is placed into joint, it decreases pain and increases a patient’s ability to be mobile and stay active. Over time, the lubricant accumulates in the knee joint and increases the knee’s shock-absorption ability. This procedure is a nonsurgical alternative to knee surgery and is covered by most insurances
Services: A family practitioner is a doctor who specializes in caring for people of all ages, at all stages of life. Rather than focusing on the treatment of one disease or patient population, family practitioners are often the doctors that people see for their everyday ailments, like cold and flu or respiratory infections and health screenings. The doctors may also provide physicals, inoculations, prenatal care, treat chronic diseases, like diabetes and asthma, and provide advice on disease prevention
