Healthy Families Arkansas, accredited by Healthy Families America (HFA), is here to support first- and second-time parents in Polk and Garland counties. Our mission is to help families create a nurturing and healthy environment for their children through home visits, education, and guidance.

Helping Families Get a Healthy Start
At Healthy Families Arkansas, we believe every parent has strengths, and we’re here to help you build on them. Our family support specialists work with parents to foster healthy growth, navigate healthcare systems, and set your family on a path to success. With us, you’ll have access to tools and resources that make a real difference in your child’s life—all at no cost to you.
- Education on child development and positive parenting practices
- Help finding and establishing a medical and dental home.
- Assistance with Medicaid applications, WIC, and other essential services
- Transportation for prenatal check-ups, well-baby visits, and immunizations
- Support for completing high school and overcoming barriers to school attendance
- Guidance in setting realistic goals for higher education or employment
- Help with transitioning to independent living
- Crisis intervention services
- Assistance with childcare enrollment and access to other community resources

Frequently Asked Questions
Our program is available to first- and second-time moms in Polk and Garland counties. Services are free and offered until your child reaches three years of age.
