Healthy Connections, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team at our Mena Street location in Mena, Arkansas. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of patient medical records while supporting quality care initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage patient health information in electronic medical records (EMRs).
- File, scan, and maintain patient charts and related medical documents.
- Handle requests for medical records with a commitment to timeliness and compliance.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and providers to ensure accurate and efficient documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) standards.
- Support the coordination of care by working closely with other departments and community health agencies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical or administrative support role.
- Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic health records systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve independently, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Occasional travel may be required.
