Accounts Payable Lead

Healthy Connections is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to enhance our financial operations. As a Federally-Qualified Health Center with over 25 years of dedication to our communities in Western and Central Arkansas, we uphold the principles of Community, Compassion, and Excellence in everything we do. We are looking for a committed professional to support our finance department by leading our accounts payable functions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to our mission of providing high-quality medical, dental, and behavioral health services.

Role Overview:

The Accounts Payable Lead is pivotal in managing and conducting all aspects of accounts payable operations for Healthy Connections. This role involves close collaboration with the Accounting Manager to uphold internal controls, develop and implement policies and procedures, and foster a culture of efficiency and precision in financial management. Your contributions will not only drive our financial stability but also reinforce our commitment to the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounts payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and financial transactions.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance accounts payable policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and training to accounts payable staff, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
  • Act as a primary contact for audit inquiries, vendor relations, and internal accounts payable queries.
  • Collaborate across departments to support organizational objectives and financial compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma with two years of accounting or four years of accounts payable experience; fund accounting preferred.
  • Purchase Order management experience.
  • Accounts Payable Specialist or Manager Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 18 months of hire).
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Location & Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexible job location, negotiable based on the applicant.
  • Minimum of 40 hours per week.
