How You’ll Contribute
In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients, including those needing HIV management and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). You will perform assessments, gather detailed medical, social, and family histories, and develop individualized care plans. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, ordering and interpreting lab tests, prescribing medications, and referring patients for specialized care when necessary. You will also educate and counsel patients and their families, creating a collaborative care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, physical exams, and patient history evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based protocols.
- Manage patients in need of HIV care and MAT services, ensuring individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in alignment with therapeutic goals.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and other team members to create and monitor patient management plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care plans.
- Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care as needed.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in goals such as Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Meaningful Use (MU).
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Arkansas APRN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- DEA licensure.
- Experience with HIV and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) patients is required.
- Excellent organizational, written, and customer service skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships and problem-solve independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and network systems.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination or a willingness to become vaccinated prior to employment.
