Healthy Connections has been selected as the healthcare provider for the Franklin Community Health Complex in Little Rock.

The Franklin Complex, which will be housed in the former Franklin Elementary School Building, will bring essential health programs to the community. CHCA bought the Franklin building last year.

“The Franklin Project is really the culmination of everything we’ve done everywhere else in Arkansas,” said Healthy Connections CEO Tony Calandro. “There is a significant need in that patient population that surrounds the Franklin Project. When you look at that patient population, you’re looking at patients who have not been able to
access quality, affordable healthcare.”

Healthy Connections understands the need to be a part of the solution, to help eliminate health and social disparities in central Little Rock; we must go beyond doctor’s visits and checkups and have programs that deal with issues related
to poverty, violence, and socioeconomic inequalities.

It is our mission to bring health education, access, and equality to the community. This mission will be enhanced through a public-private partnership that will include healthcare practitioners, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and small business
owners.

To kick off the project, Community Health Centers of Arkansas is hosting Franklin Formal, a benefit event at the Doubletree Hotel in Little Rock on Friday, Sept. 28. The black tie, masquerade ball will honor U.S. Sen. John Boozman and community leader Muskie Harris.

Healthy Connections will be a part of the Franklin Formal, telling our story and of our involvement in the project, which is expected to open in 2019.
