Healthy Connections Executive Vice President of Operations Ron G. Sellers, MBA, joined healthcare leaders and medical students from across Arkansas at the 2025 Rural Community and Hospital Expo, hosted by the UAMS College of Medicine. The annual event connects future physicians with organizations dedicated to expanding healthcare access in rural communities.
Throughout the day, Sellers met with medical students, residents, and providers to share how Healthy Connections is helping shape the future of rural healthcare. He discussed opportunities within the organization’s network of Federally-Qualified Health Centers and highlighted the vital role these clinics play in delivering medical, dental, and behavioral health services to underserved populations across the state.
Sellers’ participation reflects his ongoing work to strengthen clinic operations, improve patient experience, and build partnerships that support provider recruitment and retention in Arkansas. “Events like this are where collaboration starts,” Sellers said. “It’s about making sure every community, no matter how rural, has access to quality care.”
For more than 25 years, Healthy Connections has been caring for communities across Western and Central Arkansas. As a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC), the organization provides comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services for patients of all ages — regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Services range from family medicine and women’s health to HIV care, addiction treatment, pediatrics, senior care, and more.
Healthy Connections operates under three guiding pillars: Community, Compassion, and Excellence. These values drive every aspect of care, from the first patient visit to long-term wellness planning. With clinics in both urban and rural areas, the organization continues to close healthcare gaps and bring trusted, local providers to the communities that need them most.
