Mandi Mears, APRN, FNP-C, provides compassionate, down-to-earth family care at the upcoming Healthy Connections clinic in Conway. Originally from Mountain Home, Arkansas, Mears brings more than a decade of experience serving patients of all ages. Before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in the NICU, PICU, and Level 1 Trauma ER, and later as an RN at the Faulkner County Jail, where she developed a strong interest in mental health care. Since earning her FNP certification in 2012, she has cared for families in the Vilonia area, offering a full range of primary care services from newborns through seniors. She is also completing additional training in HIV and addiction treatment (MAT) to expand services for patients in Conway.
A former Arkansas Tech University women’s basketball standout and Hall of Fame inductee, Mears credits her sports background for shaping her teamwork and discipline in healthcare. She describes her patient-care philosophy as “open, honest, and down to earth,” emphasizing relationships built on trust and clear communication. “I don’t talk over people’s heads,” she says. “I want my patients to understand what’s going on and feel comfortable.” Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, painting, staying active, and cheering on her family’s athletic pursuits.
