Healthy Connections, a distinguished Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has been providing comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services across Western and Central Arkansas for 25 years, invites applications for the position of Custodian for our Mena location. General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Custodian, under the general supervision of the Practice Manager, is tasked with the cleanliness of the health center. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff by adhering to comprehensive cleaning schedules. The custodian’s duties are performed outside patient hours to avoid disrupting care.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Custodial Duties:
    • Sanitize restrooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
    • Dust, wipe, and maintain the cleanliness of furniture and mirrors.
    • Perform daily sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming of floors.
    • Empty and clean trash containers and wastebaskets.
    • Replace light bulbs and perform minor maintenance tasks.
    • Ensure the cleanliness of kitchen and bathroom fixtures.
    • Maintain the appearance of entrance and exit areas, including glass and door hardware.
    • Manage floor care through stripping, buffing, sealing, and vacuuming.
    • Use chemicals and supplies as directed and follow safety protocols.
  • Lawn Maintenance:
    • Perform assigned lawn care tasks using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety standards.
  • Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Independent knowledge for task completion alongside the ability to follow detailed instructions.
    • Essential physical and mental capabilities include interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
    • Valid Arkansas driver’s license, proof of liability insurance, and reliable transportation.
    • Participation in annual OSHA training is required.
    • Commitment to confidentiality and the ability to travel as needed.
