Healthy Connections, a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with more than 25 years of service to communities in Western and Central Arkansas, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team in either our Mena or Hot Springs clinic.
As a Dental Hygienist with Healthy Connections, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients’ oral and overall health. You’ll provide high-quality, patient-focused preventive and therapeutic dental services while collaborating closely with our dental providers and care teams to ensure continuity of care across all services.
What You’ll Do
- Perform patient assessments, including medical history reviews, dental and perio charting, and vital signs.
- Deliver a full range of hygiene care, including cleanings, polishing, X-rays, local anesthesia, sealants, fluoride, and DSRP as appropriate.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with dentists and support team members to improve clinical processes and patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with Arkansas Dental Practice Act standards.
- Maintain infection control and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Provide emergency hygiene support when needed and assist with patient triage or walk-ins.
- Participate in practice improvement initiatives, including Patient-Centered Medical Home and quality improvement projects.
What You Bring
- Current Arkansas license as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related clinical field preferred.
- Ability to provide ethical, evidence-based care within a team-based setting.
- Experience in patient education and documentation in dental records.
- Knowledge of dental surgery support, instrumentation, and sterilization practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage with patients of all ages.
- Must be able to travel between clinic locations when necessary.
- Must be eligible for post-offer/pre-employment physical and immunization requirements (e.g., TB and rubella).
