Healthy Connections Community Health Network will offer free health screenings at Fiesta Fest in downtown De Queen. The event, which is sponsored by The University of Arkansas-Cossatot, will run from 1 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 1.

Come by the screening and enter a drawing for a Lama Cinco DE ‘mayo Piñata. This piñata is full of candy, toys, and even $30 in cash. You will receive one entry for each health screening filled out, so it’s possible to have multiple entries for this great prize.

Fiesta Fest’s focus is bringing the community together to celebrate the cultures of southwest Arkansas while raising scholarship money for UA-Cossatot students. There will be live music, a DJ and light show, folkloric dancing, carnival rides, games, inflatables, and more.

Healthy Connections De Queen offers primary care and pediatrics at 1206 W. Collin Raye Dr., from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Providers at this location are Inja Brown, APRN; Carolin Hockersmith, APRN; and Angela Martin, APRN. Providers are available for both English and Spanish-speaking patients.
