Healthy Connections is proud to announce that Family Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Scott, APRN, is now seeing patients in Jessieville and Hot Springs Village. Scott, who has been with Healthy Connections since 2023, brings an expanded range of services to both communities โ including womenโs health, addiction treatment, HIV care, DOT and other physicals, and soon bioidentical hormone treatment for both men and women.
A Recognized Leader in Care
Scottโs move comes with strong credentials and recognition. She was recently a finalist for Provider of the Year at the Community Health Centers of Arkansas (CHCA) statewide awards banquet โ highlighting her excellence in patient care and her growing reputation across Arkansas. Patients have already taken notice. With a 5-star Google rating, Scott consistently receives reviews praising her compassion, thoroughness, and genuine care. Patients describe her as โcaring,โ โunderstanding,โ and someone who โtakes the time to listen.โ One noted that she โtreats you like a person instead of a patient,โ while another said she is โbeyond amazing.โ
โPreventive care is so important, especially in our rural communities,โ Scott said. โI enjoy building relationships with patients and helping them manage their health before small issues become bigger concerns.โ
Serving Jessieville and Hot Springs Village
Patients in Jessieville now have on-site access to Scott Monday through Thursday mornings (8 a.m.โ11 a.m.) at the Lions Health and Wellness Center. Outside those hours, patients can connect with other Healthy Connections providers through telehealth directly at the center.
In Hot Springs Village, Scott sees patients Monday through Thursday afternoons. She joins an established team, with Zachary Geiling, APRN, providing care Monday through Thursday and Matthew Huskey, APRN, seeing patients on Fridays. The Hot Springs Village clinic is open 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, offering broad access for working families and retirees alike.
What She Brings to Patients
Scottโs services reflect the broad, integrated model of care at Healthy Connections. She offers:
- Womenโs health services including preventive screenings and wellness visits.
- Addiction treatment and HIV care, critical services often difficult to access in rural Arkansas.
- Physical exams, including school, and sports physicals.
- Bioidentical hormone treatment, which will soon be available for men and women at these locations.
Healthy Connections CEO Tony Calandro emphasized the importance of her role: โBringing Jenniferโs expertise to Jessieville and Hot Springs Village strengthens our ability to provide comprehensive care close to home. In particular, her womenโs health services fill a critical need for patients in these communities, ensuring that families can get the care they deserve without having to travel far.โ
More Than Medicine
Scottโs path into healthcare is as relatable as it is inspiring. Originally a business major, she shifted her focus to nursing, eventually earning her advanced practice degree. A lifelong Arkansan with deep ties to Malvern, she connects easily with patients who value providers who truly listen. Her reviews consistently highlight her compassion, patience, and ability to make time for each patient โ qualities that reflect Healthy Connectionsโ pillars of Community, Compassion, and Excellence.
