Athletic Physicals at Jessieville Mark Expansion of Healthcare Partnership

More than 100 Jessieville student-athletes received sports physicals on May 16 as Healthy Connections expands its school-based care presence in the community.

Healthy Connections and My Kids Pediatric Clinic were on campus at Jessieville School District on May 16, providing athletic physicals to student-athletes preparing for the upcoming school year. This event was another step forward in a strong and growing partnership between Healthy Connections and JSD.

Our team—Matt York, APRN; Matthew Huskey, APRN; Andrea Pilcher; Shannon Baloria; and Monica Yielding—worked closely with Lions Health and Wellness Center Coordinator Stephanie Noles and Jessieville School District staff to ensure the day ran smoothly. More than 100 student-athletes received their physicals, helping clear them for participation in school athletics.

Healthy Connections has been working with the Lions Health and Wellness Center, a school-based health center in Arkansas located on the Jessieville School District campus, since January.

Starting in August, we’ll expand our services by providing on-site medical providers four days per week, along with telehealth access to care during off-site hours. Our on-site provider team will include Matt York, APRN, and Jennifer Scott, APRN, offering students and staff consistent, accessible healthcare right on campus.

Jessieville families also have the option of visiting our nearby Hot Springs Village Clinic, located just down the road at 4585 N. Highway 7. There, Zachary Geiling, APRN, and Matthew Huskey, APRN, provide primary care services for patients of all ages. Walk-ins are welcome.
