As the Mena School District opens kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year, Healthy Connections is once again stepping up to ensure children start school healthy, prepared, and confident. We’ll be onsite offering free kindergarten physicals during the in-person registration event at Louise Durham Elementary School on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
Our experienced pediatric providers will be there to complete required school physicals at no cost. Plus, every incoming kindergartener will receive a Bearcat swag bag filled with early learning tools like letter identification cards and handwriting practice sheets—resources designed to help them thrive from day one. It’s all part of our ongoing commitment to supporting families and strengthening communities through accessible, high-quality children’s healthcare.
Can’t attend the Mena event? Healthy Connections and My Kids Pediatric Clinic make it easy for parents across Arkansas to get school physicals done on their schedule. We offer school and sports physicals, immunizations, well-child visits, and behavioral health care for kids at locations throughout Western and Central Arkansas. Our expert pediatric and family medicine providers welcome Medicaid, ArKids 1st, Medicare, and most private insurance plans. For families without insurance, our sliding-fee scale ensures no child is turned away due to cost.
