Healthy Connections to Host Free Mena Easter Egg-Stravaganza for Families

Families across Polk County are invited to celebrate the season as Healthy Connections hosts a FREE Mena Easter Egg-Stravaganza and Easter egg hunt on Friday, April 3, from 1–3 p.m. at the Healthy Connections Mena campus, 136 Health Park Lane.

Designed for children ages 0–12, the event will feature thousands of stuffed eggs, games, music, prizes, food, and family activities. This Mena Easter egg hunt has been held previously and has proven to be a big hit with local families, bringing the community together for an afternoon filled with fun and laughter.

Events like this give families an opportunity to spend time together, meet neighbors, and enjoy a safe, welcoming environment for children to celebrate the Easter season.

Easter Egg Hunts and Activities for Kids

Children attending the Mena Easter Egg-Stravaganza will be able to participate in age-specific egg hunts, helping ensure every child has a chance to enjoy the excitement.

Egg hunt age groups will include:

  • Ages 0–3
  • Ages 4–6
  • Ages 7–9
  • Ages 10–12

Thousands of colorful eggs filled with candy and prizes will be hidden throughout the hunt areas, creating a fun challenge for children as they search for their treasures at the Mena Easter Egg-Stravaganza.

In addition to the egg hunts, families can enjoy:

  • Music provided by DJ Weepsonthebeat
  • A special appearance by the Easter Bunny with photo props
  • Bunny Hop sack races
  • Egg races
  • Temporary Easter tattoo station
  • Prizes for participants

Healthy Connections is also working to add inflatable activity centers, with more details expected soon.

Fun for the Whole Family

The Healthy Connections Easter Egg-Stravaganza in Mena is designed to be enjoyable for parents and guardians as well as children.

While the kids are hunting for eggs and participating in games, adults can enter a drawing for a Grill Giveaway. Guests can also enjoy pulled pork sandwiches and refreshments while spending time with family and friends.

Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and relax while enjoying the activities.

Supporting Children and Literacy

During the event, families will also have the opportunity to learn about the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a program that provides free books to children from birth through age five. Representatives will be available to share information and help families sign up eligible children.
