Healthy Connections Learns More About Community Health Partnerships at UAMS TRI Event

Healthy Connections recently participated in the UAMS Translational Research Institute (TRI) Networking Event at National Park College in Hot Springs, where Chief Strategy Officer Doreen Tapley represented our organization. This event provided an opportunity to explore how partnerships with UAMS TRI can help improve healthcare research and patient outcomes across Arkansas, particularly for underserved and rural communities.

The UAMS TRI Community Engagement Team works to strengthen research efforts by connecting with local community, faith, and nonprofit organizations. These partnerships ensure that the voices of underserved communities are heard in the research process, leading to improvements in healthcare accessibility, treatment options, and patient outcomes. The networking event highlighted ways organizations like Healthy Connections can collaborate with TRI to bring research-driven healthcare solutions to Arkansas residents.

Healthy Connections extends a special thank you to Diamonds in the Rough of Hot Springs and Difference Makers of Hot Springs, AR for organizing this impactful event. Their dedication to fostering strong community relationships plays a critical role in advancing healthcare equity and expanding access to essential services.

By participating in this event, Healthy Connections continues its mission to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare while fostering innovative partnerships that benefit patients directly. As a result of these collaborations, patients in rural and underserved communities can gain improved access to affordable, evidence-based healthcare services.
