Custodian Position at Healthy Connections, Inc.

Healthy Connections, Inc., a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is hiring a Custodian to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments at our health centers.

About the Role:

The Custodian plays a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our staff and patients by maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, the Custodian is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the health center, including exam rooms, offices, bathrooms, and common spaces. This position also involves light maintenance duties, such as replacing light bulbs and maintaining lawn care as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, furniture, windows, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain hard floors and carpets.
  • Empty and clean trash containers and recycling bins.
  • Perform light maintenance duties, such as replacing light bulbs and handling minor repairs.
  • Secure the building after hours by checking doors, windows, and lights.
  • Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training, and emergency drills.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow directions, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Must participate in OSHA training and maintain confidentiality.
