PRIMARY CARE

LEARN MORE

If you’re like most people, your primary care doctor is your most important source of health care. From birth, almost everyone sees a primary care doctor for most of their medical needs. Our dedicated staff of trained professionals is ready to assist your healthcare needs, offering a wide range of comprehensive family medical care.

RHEUMATOLOGY & INTERNAL MEDICINE

LEARN MORE

Rheumatology is devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of disorders of the immune system. Rheumatologists deal mainly with immune-mediated disorders of the musculoskeletal system, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases, vasculitides, and inherited connective tissue disorders.

PrEP

LEARN MORE

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (or PrEP) is when people at very high risk for HIV take HIV medicines daily to lower their chances of getting infected. PrEP can stop HIV from taking hold and spreading throughout your body. It is highly effective for preventing HIV if used as prescribed, but it is much less effective when not taken consistently. Daily PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by more than 90%. Among people who inject drugs, it reduces the risk by more than 70%. Your risk of getting HIV from sex can be even lower if you combine PrEP with condoms and other prevention methods.

MAT - MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT

LEARN MORE

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. Research shows that a combination of medication and therapy can successfully treat these disorders, and for some people struggling with addiction, MAT can help sustain recovery.

STD/HIV TESTING AND CARE

LEARN MORE

If you’re sexually active, particularly with multiple partners, you’ve probably heard the following advice many times: Use protection and get tested. This is important because a person can have a sexually transmitted disease without knowing it. In many cases, there aren’t any signs or symptoms. In fact, that’s why many experts prefer the term sexually transmitted infections (STIs), because you can have an infection without disease symptoms.

TRANSGENDER CARE

LEARN MORE

The Health For Life Clinic by Healthy Connections will address the health care needs of Arkansas’ transgender and gender nonconforming communities – a population which has been neglected by many health care providers – by providing general wellness exams, counseling, and case management referrals and treatment for HIV positive trans patients.
