Emotional Benefits of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy

Take the health assessment to see if BioTE might be right for you
Studies have shown optimized hormones are necessary for good health.
The BioTE Method of hormone optimization uses bioidentical hormone pellets, which contain testosterone or estrogen. Patient-specific pellets are placed subcutaneously in the body and release a continuous stream of hormones. These pellets dissolve and are absorbed into the body.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
WHAT IS PELLET THERAPY?
Pellets are tiny, custom-compounded therapies for symptoms that stem from hormonal imbalances. This therapy keeps hormone levels consistent through the day and avoids rollercoaster-like effects from orally administered or topically administered hormones. The pellets BioTE uses contain bioidentical hormones, derived from natural sources. The pellets contain hormones identical to the ones found in the human body. Studies have shown that bioidentical hormones have fewer side effects than synthetic hormones.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
During an in-office visit, a patient is brought into the exam room, and the insertion site, usually somewhere around the upper buttocks, is numbed. A small incision is made, and the hormone pellet inserted. After, the insertion site is covered with a small bandage. The pellet dissolves, and the body absorbs the contents, leaving nothing behind. Every patient’s symptoms are unique, so each journey is customized to fit your needs. Some patients report seeing improvement in as little as four weeks, but full optimization can take up to six months.
After the pellet-insertion process is complete, it’s best to eliminate lower body exercise for a short period of time. Walking is fine, but more strenuous exercise is not recommended. Showers are permitted, but bathtubs, hot tubs, and swimming should be avoided. After the bandage is removed, you can resume normal exercise and swimming routines. We deserve to feel better no matter what our age. If you are tired of dealing with the symptoms of hormone imbalance and want to take action, should contact a local certified BioTE provider today.
