Foot Clinic Now Available in Hot Springs
Foot pain? Fungal infection? Unsightly toenails?
Healthy Connections now has a solution in Hot Springs. We’re proud to welcome podiatrist Dr. Richard C. Bennett, DPM, to the clinic location at 3604 Central Avenue, Suite D, in Hot Springs.
Dr. Bennett has more than 25 years of experience working as a podiatrist in downtown Chicago. He recently relocated his practice to Hot Springs to become part of the Healthy Connections family.
“Everything just clicked,” Dr. Bennett said of his decision to move to Hot Springs. “All the infrastructure is here to have everything I need.”
Healthy Connections has nine clinics throughout southwest Arkansas, including two in Hot Springs. Podiatry now joins our lineup that already featured primary care and preventative medicine, general dentistry, behavioral health, cardiology, pediatrics, and physical therapy.
Dr. Bennett is proficient in a wide range of foot and ankle problems, from routine to complex. He performs annual comprehensive diabetic foot exams and educates patients on how to best manage their condition. He diagnoses and treats basic foot conditions such as heel and arch pain, manages orthopedic deformities surgically and conservatively, performs office surgery for ingrown nails, abscesses, warts, and other skin lesions, and performs routine foot care.
His office also offers the latest FDA approved treatment for fungal infections of the toenail, putting patients’ safety and comfort first.
One area where Dr. Bennett sees a lot of patients concerns diabetes. In the past, patients coming in reporting foot problems have, after consulting with him, been referred to other specialists for timely diagnosis and treatment.
“A big part of podiatry is preventing their condition from getting worse,” Dr. Bennett said.
After an injury as a cross country runner in high school, Dr. Bennett pursued a career in podiatry. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University (Chicago) and graduated with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Healthy Connections accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurance companies.
